"I worked with “Coach” John Marshall over a period of six months or so as part of a leadership training program at my company. Firstly, he is a very warm, friendly, approachable person- I very much looked forward to my conversations with him. But more importantly in this context, he was very effective at helping me understand how to clear my own roadblocks in my career journey. He never told me what to do per se, but he was very good at boiling down complicated (often emotionally based) issues into simple, reflective questions. Discussed in such a way, I could start seeing some of the unconscious beliefs that drove certain actions, or inactions, that run contrary to my overall goals. I would joke that these were my career therapy sessions, but there’s real truth to that. Though our time working together felt brief, I feel I have some real tools as I move in my career. John has been a great coach and I hope to work with him again in the future."
